Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta splendens) Male fighting fish are very territorial and have historically been used in gambling. Two male fish are pitted against each other in a fight and bets are placed on which one will win. Despite their aggressiveness between males, fighting fish are not aggressive to other fish species.
